The founders would often speak amongst themselves about the importance of growing crops without the use of harmful chemicals and pesticides and consuming safely grown foods that maintain their originality in taste. They discovered that the methods focusing on natural cultivation techniques, respecting the ecosystem and maintaining the integrity of the soil bears greater results and contributes in maintaining the authentic taste of the produce. These practices have been long forgotten in the pursuit of mass production and profits, which in turn is leading towards creating a range of adverse effects on the environment including soil degradation, environment pollution, loss of biodiversity,  etc. Likewise, post-harvest activities, if not managed sustainably, can have detrimental effects on the environment, economy, and overall food security like loss of nutritional value, economic loss for farmers, spread of pests and diseases, loss of cultural heritage.

Concerned by the fact how the future generations will be affected by it, two entrepreneurs, Habibul Mustafa Arman & Md. Tauhidul Islam co-founded a Private Limited Company as a solution to address the issues with just 100 sq.ft. of space.

They named it ” Khaas Food “, with the word “Khaas” meaning uniquely special. Their motto became “Purity is healthiness”.

Khaas Food was founded with a vision to revolutionize the food industry and bridge the gap between farmers, suppliers, and consumers. We want to ensure that farmers receive fair wages for their hard work and that consumers can access food of the highest quality and authentic flavor without any adulteration or added chemicals.

This initiation of a great vision also intrigued a few other like-minded individuals to be a part of it as it addresses the burning question of present times concerning food safety. Fast forward to today, Khaas Food, with 150+ dedicated employees and 18,000 sq.ft of space, relentlessly ensured 100,000+ satisfied consumers through our consumer-friendly website and conveniently located, categorically organized 17 physical outlets in 17 different zones of the country.

However, the path was not easy. The predominant companies have been present in the market with their renowned brand identities and widespread presence. Moreover, the rising commodity prices have forced many farmers and suppliers to compromise on quality, resorting to foreign fertilizers and pesticides just to survive financially. All of these are having a compound effect on the overall chain of harvest to health. Even the existing practices of post-harvest activities like; inadequate disposal of post-harvest waste leads to environmental pollution, use of chemicals and preservatives to extend the shelf life of produce leads to soil degradation which potentially harms the ecosystem, decline in the nutritional quality of harvested crops due to prolonged storage under suboptimal conditions.

Undeterred by the challenges, Khaas Food has embarked on a mission to change the narrative. We are working tirelessly to revive the traditional and hilly farming techniques, focusing on safer cultivation and sustainable practices. We have been partnering directly with farmers and other suppliers, ensuring that they receive fair wages for their qualitative produce and providing them with the necessary training and resources to adopt healthier farming methods.

As the word spread about Khaas Food’s commitment to quality and fair trade, more farmers and suppliers started to join our cause. The company gained recognition for its transparent and ethical practices that contributed to our farmers’ financial freedom and suppliers’ growth. We are on a journey to establish a network of local sourcing, to ensure that the food we offer is fresh, traceable, and free from any harmful substances.

Through our persistent efforts, Khaas Food started gaining the trust and loyalty of consumers. We have been expanding our operations through opening retail outlets, partnering with like-minded businesses that share our vision, and empowering more and more farmers.
